A group of researchers from Finland created heat maps on hundreds

of test subjects in an attempt to “see” how different feelings affect the body.

The researchers speculate that the biological response

gears the body up to face the external situation.

The study was done to see if emotions are felt similarly across cultures,

and the results could have future implications in diagnosing emotional disorders.
